Commitment to Privacy
Personal Information Collected
BMI collects personal information and / or resumes from the military community and employers on a voluntary basis.
We use our best efforts to share personal information and resumes only with BMI employees and employers, recruiters, hiring managers and human resource professionals who have expressed interest in hiring from the military-experienced talent pool. However, we cannot guarantee that other parties will not, without our consent, gain access to this database. You may remove your personal information or resume from our searchable database at any time, except in those cases whereby we are required by governmental regulations (e.g., OFCCP) to keep a copy of your personal information / resume for a period of time. However, employers and recruiters who have viewed your resume, and other parties who have otherwise gained access to the database, may have retained a copy of your resume in their own files or databases. We are not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of resumes in these instances.
How We Use the Information
Statistical Data and Reports
We collect statistical information such as page views on an aggregated basis. Such information allows us to find out what areas users visit most frequently and what services users access the most. We may share this information with our partners and clients, but only in the aggregate, so that they too may understand how our visitors use the site.
Feedback / Surveys
BMI has an area on the site where you can submit feedback and / or surveys. Any feedback and / or surveys that are submitted through this area become the property of BMI. We may use this feedback, such as success stories or testimonials, for marketing purposes, or to contact you for further feedback on the site.
The BMI site may contain links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites. We do not control cookies from other outside sites.
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. As we recognize the importance of the database security of personal information, we will make all reasonable business efforts to ensure the database security of your personal information while it is contained on BMI servers.
Guidelines for Children
The BMI Web site is for the use of experienced job seekers and employers and is not intended for the use of children. Children should seek their parents' consent before giving out personal information and accessing the internet.
